Applied Environmental Research is a international peer-reviewed journal freely available online that publishes articles in the areas of environmental science and engineering, environmental studies, environmental management and other interdisciplinary environmental issues. The journal is published quarterly by the Environmental Research Institute, Chulalongkorn University and comprises

full-length, original research papers and review articles that fall within the above-stated areas. The primary criteria for publication include scientific quality and environmental significance. Articles submitted to the journal must not have been previously published nor under consideration for publication elsewhere. 

The journal follows a double-blind peer review process. Submitted papers are initially evaluated by the Editor for suitability to the journal. A plagiarism check will be conducted on all papers prior to review. Those deemed suitable will be evaluated by at least two independent reviewers to assess the scientific quality of the study. The Editor is responsible for the final decision on publication.
