Abstract

This review article shows the way to break down the poverty trap in Thailand. The main issue that leads to poverty trap is low-income jobs, lack of access to quality education, restrictions on access to credit and financial services, inadequate social safety networks, and the transmission of intergenerational poverty. Many Thai households are stuck in low-wage jobs that provide limited financial security and lack of mobility. These jobs often lack benefits, job security, and advancement opportunities, resulting in households struggling to escape poverty despite hard work. According to the author ‘s work as the support team for the equitable education fund (EEF), the way to break down the poverty trap is to give free educational grants in vocational career.
