Abstract

This survey research aims to 1) find out factors of Servant Leadership of government teachers, 2) study the level of Servant Leadership of government teachers, 3) compare the Servant Leadership of government teachers classified by school sizes and 4) study the guideline on the development of Servant Leadership of government teachers. The sample of this research were 500 government teachers under the Office of the Secondary Educational Service Area 3, Nonthaburi Province collected through Stratified Random Sampling method specified by school sizes and 8 school administrators. The tools of this research were 5–points Likert scale questionnaire with reliability of 0.980 and the interview form. Data was analyzed and processed by statistical package program. Statistical processes used for data analysis were Mean, Standard Deviation, Analysis of Variance, Exploratory Factor Analysis by the Principal Component Extraction Method (Principal Component Analysis: PCA) which specified the statistical significance value at 0.05 and Content Analysis.


The results of this research were found that 1) the 6 important factors of Servant Leadership of government teachers were shared visions building up, healing and mental quality development, open mind listening, public dedication, community building up and responsibility respectively, 2) the overall aspects of the Servant Leadership of government teachers were found to be at high level, the highest one was open mind listening, followed by responsibility, healing and mental quality development, community building up, public dedication and shared visions building up respectively, 3) government teachers in different school sizes had no different views on overall and individual aspects of Servant Leadership and 4) the guideline on the development of Servant Leadership of government teachers consisted of the policies on professional learning community building up and on professional teachers network building up.
