Abstract

The purposes of this research were 1) to study perception toward safety system and safety behavior of the production operator level. 2) to compare perception toward safety system level and safety behavior of the production operator affected to the personal characteristics, and 3) to study correlation between perception toward safety system and safety behavior of the production operator at a bakery manufacturing company in Ladkrabang Industrial Estate. The sample consisted of 270 production staff, drawn by the Simple Random Sampling.  The research instrument constructing by the researcher for data collection was a rating-scale-questionnaire program were employed for data analysis by percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, One-way ANOVA and Pearson’s product moment correlation coefficient.


     The research results were as follows:


  1. The staff showed good level of perception toward safety system and safety behavior of the production operator.  

  2. The personal background affected to perception toward safety system were working experience and level of education significantly at 0.01. However, Gender, Age and Marital status did not affect to perception toward safety system.

  3. The personal background affected to safety behavior of the production operator were Marital status and level of education significantly at 0.01

  4. The correlation between perception toward safety system and safety behavior of the production operator was positive and significantly at 0.01
