Abstract

The IoT system model for the automatic chicken farm controlled by a microcontroller aims to apply the IoT technology to chicken farms in order to develop the chicken farm management system to be more efficient. Management systems within the farm and controlled factors, such as feeding factor, watering factor and controlling temperature in the farm, affect directly to chicken. If the farm management system and controlled factors are in good performance, then it will result in good growth of chicken. In addition, the chicken will be no stress and illness will be reduced. The proposed IoT system for the fully automated chicken farm can be activated for the control of water pumps, fans and lamps via a mobile application. Moreover, this can also be programmed to work automatically according to working conditions as required in order to control water pumps, fans and electric lamps. The results revealed that the IoT system model for the automatic chicken farm has been operating well and high efficiency, which satisfy users’ needs. Therefore, the IoT model can be applied for automatic chicken farms in real practical uses.
