Abstract

Firewall is a very significant Component on the network. It is a tool that helps to protect corporate networks from threats and attacks. The overall performance of the firewall rule set is based on the setting by administrator and changing the sequence of firewall rules affect the performance of the firewall. If the firewall rules are not arranged in proper order, they can affect the performance of the firewall. This project has created an equation to adjust the order of firewall rules and to rearranging the rules accordingly. So, the firewall can perform faster.
