งานวิจัยนี้นำเสนอระบบการใช้พลังงานไฟฟ้าแบบเติมเงินผ่าน RFID ควบคุมด้วย Arduino Uno R3 ซึ่งระบบจะประกอบด้วย 2 ส่วนคือส่วนเติมเงินเข้าบัตรและส่วนควบคุมการใช้พลังงานไฟฟ้า ซึ่งการทำงานของระบบนั้นจะใช้บัตร RFID เป็นตัวกลางในการสื่อสารระหว่างเครื่องเติมเงินเข้าบัตรและส่วนควบคุมการใช้พลังงานไฟฟ้า โดยจะต้องทำการเติมเงินลงบัตร RFID และนำบัตรนี้มาทาบกับส่วนควบคุมการใช้พลังงานไฟฟ้า เพื่อเปิดระบบให้เครื่องใช้ไฟฟ้าสามารถใช้งานได้ การทดสอบประสิทธิภาพการทำงานของระบบ จะทำการทดสอบโดยใช้เครื่องใช้ไฟฟ้าทั้งหมด 5 ชนิด คือ พัดลม หลอดอินแคนเดสเซนต์ เครื่องเป่าผม กาต้มน้ำร้อน เตารีดไอน้ำ เป็นระยะเวลา 3 วัน หรือ 72 ชั่วโมงต่อเนื่อง และทำการอ่านค่าการใช้พลังงานไฟฟ้าจากกิโลวัตต์-ชั่วโมงมิเตอร์เปรียบเทียบกับค่าการใช้พลังงานไฟฟ้าที่อ่านได้จากระบบควบคุมการใช้พลังงานไฟฟ้าที่สร้างขึ้นมา จากผลการทดสอบพบว่าค่าพลังงานไฟฟ้าที่อ่านได้มีความคลาดเคลื่อนเฉลี่ยร้อยละ 0.58
