บทคัดย่อ
งานวิจัยนี้ศึกษาปฏิกิริยาเอสเทอริฟิเคชันระหว่างกรดโอเลอิกกับกลีเซอรอลเพื่อผลิตกลีเซอไรด์มูลค่าเพิ่ม โดยใช้ตัวเร่งปฏิกิริยาซิงค์ออกไซด์ (ZnO) โดยมุ่งประเมินผลของรูปแบบการให้ความร้อน อัตราส่วนโดยโมลของสารตั้งต้น และอุณหภูมิ ต่อค่าการเปลี่ยนแปลงของกรดโอเลอิกและร้อยละผลได้ของโมโนกลีเซอไรด์ (MG yield) ผลการทดลองพบว่าการให้ความร้อนด้วยไมโครเวฟช่วยเพิ่มร้อยละผลได้ของ MG ได้อย่างชัดเจนเมื่อเปรียบเทียบกับเครื่องปฏิกรณ์แบบกวนเชิงกลทั่วไป โดยสภาวะที่เหมาะสมในการผลิตโมโนกลีเซอไรด์คือ อัตราส่วนโมลกรดโอเลอิกต่อกลีเซอรอล เท่ากับ 1:4 ใช้ตัวเร่งปฏิกิริยา ZnO เท่ากับ 0.5 wt.% ของกรดโอเลอิก ที่อุณหภูมิ 160 °C เป็นเวลา 30 นาที ซึ่งให้ค่าการเปลี่ยนแปลงของกรดโอเลอิก 63.1% ค่าการเลือกเกิดของ MG 75.4% และค่า MG yield 47.6% ภายใต้สภาวะเดียวกัน ซี่งระบบกวนเชิงกลทั่วไปให้ค่า MG yield เพียง 28.1% นอกจากนี้ อัตราส่วนโมลกรดโอเลอิกต่อกลีเซอรอล 1:4 ให้ค่า MG yield สูงกว่าอัตราส่วนอื่นที่ศึกษา สะท้อนว่าการใช้กลีเซอรอลส่วนเกินในระดับที่เหมาะสมช่วยส่งเสริมการเกิดผลิตภัณฑ์เป้าหมาย ในขณะที่การเพิ่มอุณหภูมิเป็น 180 และ 200 °C แม้ช่วยเพิ่มค่าการเปลี่ยนแปลงของกรดโอเลอิก แต่ทำให้ค่า MG yield ลดลงเหลือ 40.5 และ 38.9% ตามลำดับ ซึ่งอาจเกิดจากการเร่งปฏิกิริยาต่อเนื่องของ MG ไปเป็น DG และ TG ดังนั้น การใช้เครื่องปฏิกรณ์แบบไมโครเวฟที่อัตราส่วนโมล 1:4 อุณหภูมิ 160 °C และเวลา 30 นาที จึงเป็นสภาวะที่เหมาะสมสำหรับการผลิตโมโนกลีเซอไรด์จากกลีเซอรอลภายใต้เงื่อนไขที่ศึกษา
