สาเหตุความล่าช้าของงานก่อสร้างในทัศนะของวิศวกรโยธา

กำหนดแล้วเสร็จของโครงการก่อสร้างเป็นข้อพิจารณาสำคัญที่ใช้กำหนดราคา เลือกเทคนิคก่อสร้าง และเป็นเงื่อนไขคัดเลือกผู้รับเหมาที่มีศักยภาพเพียงพอ การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อบ่งชี้สาเหตุ และปัจจัยความล่าช้าของงานก่อสร้างด้วยแบบสอบถามความคิดเห็นจากทัศนะของวิศวกรโยธา ซึ่งรู้ข้อมูลรายละเอียดและรับผิดชอบโดยตรงต่อโครงการมากที่สุด มีประสบการณ์ทำงานที่ใช้สะท้อนปัญหาต่าง ๆ ได้ดีที่สุด กลุ่มตัวอย่างวิศวกรโยธา ถูกคัดเลือกโดยวิธีเจาะจง 110 คน ผลวิจัยบ่งชี้ว่า สาเหตุความล่าช้าที่ได้คะแนนสูงที่สุดห้าลำดับแรก คือ “การขาดแคลนแรงงาน” “สภาพคล่องทางการเงินของผู้รับเหมา” “การเปลี่ยนแปลงเนื้องานก่อสร้างระหว่างดำเนินการ” “การกำหนดขอบเขตและวัตถุประสงค์ของงานก่อสร้างไม่ชัดเจน” และ “ผู้รับเหมาไม่จ่ายเงินค่าแรงคนงานหรือผู้รับเหมาช่วงตามกำหนด” นอกจากนี้ ผลทดสอบสมมติฐานสรุปได้ว่า ประเภทงานก่อสร้าง และบทบาทในองค์กรก่อสร้างที่วิศวกรโยธาปฏิบัติงานแตกต่างกันทำให้ทัศนะสาเหตุความล่าช้าต่างกัน ผลจากงานวิจัยนี้จึงสามารถใช้เป็นแนวทางเตรียมการแก้ไขความล่าช้าเนื่องจากสาเหตุสำคัญต่าง ๆ ที่พบจากการวิจัย ก่อนดำเนินโครงการได้
