This study investigates the effectiveness of experiential learning approaches in developing photography competencies—encompassing technical proficiency, visual storytelling, and the communication of meaning—among Communication Arts students majoring in Digital Media Design at Sripatum University, Chonburi Campus. Grounded in Kolb’s Experiential Learning Theory and the principles of creative learning within the context of Communication Arts education, the research explores how diverse experiential learning activities, including real-situation photography practice, expert lectures, organizational internships, and the integration of digital media tools, foster student engagement and skill development. The findings indicate that experiential learning management, emphasizing critical analysis and self-reflection, significantly enhances students’ technical expertise and creative expression in photography more effectively than conventional instructional methods.
