The study involved 145 staff and 179 students. Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed by descriptive statistics, frequencies, percentages, averages and standard deviations</p><p>Results showed that 6.90% (95% CI = 2.72 - 11.07) &nbsp;of the staff are smoking, smoking place are assigned smoking area 66.67%, toilet 16.67% and parking area in the university 16.67%. And 5.59% (95% CI = 2.19 – 8.98) of the students are smoking, smoking place are toilet 47.62% and parking area in the university 42.86%. 96.09% of the students were knowledgeable about cigarette at good level, and attitude in smoking were 56.98% in good level, 40.23% in moderate level, and 2.79% in poor level.</p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Conclusion, the continued and sustainable support of smoking control activities in educational institutions is something that all higher education institutions should pay attention at in order to protect non-smokers from toxic smoke from cigarettes, prevent new smokers and to provide assistance to those who want to quit smoking by providing a smoking cessation clinic and a counseling clinic in the educational institution along with the more stringent enforcement of the tobacco control law of educational institutions with a mandatory policy announcement by the administrator and clear penalties in order to effectively control smoking behavior.</p> ER -
