The purpose of this quasi-experimental research was to investigate the clinical responses to treating osteoarthritis of the knee among the elderly with Thai herbal compresses. Thirty elderly patients with this condition participated in a program in which they received 30-minute sessions of hot Thai herbal compress treatment, twice a week for 4 weeks. The participants scored a pain level, before the treatment, and again after the treatment. Based on the participant’s pain level scores, the result was that the hot Thai herbal compress treatment reduced the pain of osteoarthritis of the knees, with the level of reduction in pain being statistically significantly different (<em>p</em> &lt; 0.01).</p> ER -
