Journal of Engineering and Digital Technology (JEDT) takes into account the ethics in publishing research articles of related parties as follows;

 

Ethics and Duties of the Author(s)

  1. The author(s) must write the article in the format specified by the journal in the suggestions for the author(s).
  2. The author(s) must cite the source of the information without causing others to misunderstand that the information is a new work of the author(s), if that information is other people such as the information that have been published before.
  3. The author(s) must not modify or distort the information.
  4. The author(s) must specify the source of funds to support the research (if any).
  5. The author(s) must disclose information about conflicts of interest clearly (if any).
  6. If the research involving humans or animals subjects, the author(s) should conduct the experiment in accordance with ethical principles on humans or animals and also strictly comply with relevant regulations and laws.

 

Ethics and Duties of the Editor

  1. The editor must publish the journal on time.
  2. The editor must select articles by considering the quality and consistency of the article content and the scope of the journal.
  3. The editor must evaluate the article fairly and does not deny the publication of the article using bias.
  4. The editor must not disclose information of the author(s) of the article to unrelated parties.
  5. The editor must not have conflicts of interest with the author(s) and evaluators.
  6. The editor must use a software to check the plagiarism of the article to prevent the publication of works copied from others. If found plagiarism, the editor must stop the process of evaluating the article immediately and contact the author(s) for clarification.

 

Ethics and Duties of Reviewers

  1. Article evaluators should consider accepting the assessment only for articles that are consistent with their own expertise in order to have quality published articles.
  2. Article evaluators should complete article evaluation within the time limit to prevent the published articles from being delayed.
  3. The evaluators should evaluate the articles by providing academic suggestions only and do not use unreasonable personal opinions or non-supporting information.
  4. The evaluators should reject the assessment of the article if they consider that they may have conflicts of interest with the author(s).
  5. The evaluators must not disclose the content of the articles to the unrelated people.
  6. If the evaluators considers that there are other articles that the author(s) does not mention but are important and relevant articles, the evaluators should inform the author(s) to refer to the article.
